Doggos, they talk too!

Many of us, as dog parents, have noticed on various occasions that our pooch tries to express themselves. However, it is somewhat difficult to comprehend them. What do they want? What does their actions mean?
Some of these actions and gestures are universal, which I have noticed with Leo (my pet) and other dogs as well. These might help you understand your pooch well, and when understood, the bond strengthens!

1) Amazingly, they have their timings set for the entire day. They will come to you for their meals, for walks, for playtime as per their daily schedule. Whenever your pooch comes to you, jumps on you, licks you, tries to bark and speak to you, look at the time and figure out what they want. If this is not the case, "Stop whatever you are doing!" Sit, scratch and try to talk to them. They might just want  some of your time!

2) Randomly, they will just come and lick you to express their thanks. For Instance, Leo always licks mom's feet after every meal.

3) Running towards you with their toy in their mouth, wagging their tail and eyes fully focused on you is indicative of  "Woof Hooman, It's my playtime!"

4) Waiting or completely concentrated on the entrance door is a tip-off that someone might be coming to your place.
If you notice some accompanied whining or restlessness or scratching on door, it's a poop warning!

5) When they lie on their back and expose their stomach, that means they are comfortable with you and they trust you completely and of course, they want you to rub their belly. That’s one of the best feelings in the world.... for both!

6) If their toy was in someplace that they cannot reach (like beneath the bed or behind a cabinet) they will approach you and look at you. When they have your attention, they will lead you to that place.
7) If they accidentally play bite you, they will immediately lie down in a gesture to apologize in case they hurt you. Forgive them, they never mean to hurt you!

8) Whenever you are upset or crying, they will come and sit beside you so that you always have their shoulder to cry on. Trust me, in this instance, they won’t bark or whine or jump on you. They will just sit with you, comfort you and soothe you like the best companion ever.

9) If you have a female pooch, you might notice that she is uncomfortable during her chums or after her delivery. Give her some time (or days) and make her as much comfortable as you can. She will be back to normalcy!

10) If your pooch is trying to eat grass or leaves, let them. Because this indicates that they might be experiencing some digestive problem! They might puke or poop after this, so its okay. However, if this last for more than a day or two, consult your vet!

11) Lastly, whenever you go out and leave him alone, they will always come running on your return. This is their way of expressing how much they have missed you and how happy they are now! Hug them and kiss them and reassure that you will not abandon them, no matter what! (specially, if you have an adopted pooch).

  1. You made me realise I need to start loving my doggos before I start regretting it.
